Dr. Nico J.C. Francken has experience in working with major multinational companies in New Zealand, Spain and The Netherlands. He is also the founder of the Company and the director of the IN Group, with offices in New Zealand, The Netherlands, Singapore, Wyoming(USA), and Labuan Malaysia.
The family tradition having a lawyer in every generation was established from the 16th century. Dr. Francken holds a law degree from Leiden University in The Netherlands and the Diploma of Advanced European Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium. He is a full member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), The New Zealand Trustee Association, the International Tax Planners Association and the Asia Offshore Association. He retired as an active lawyer in 2017 but continues as a business consultant.
In 1981 he established his own legal practice in The Netherlands and worked as a barrister and solicitor. He specialised in corporate, financial and business advice, working for private clients as well as for small and medium sized companies. His practice involved travel and experience in many countries all over Europe, Asia and Australasia. He assisted a plethora of clients in organising and structuring their businesses and investments, using both on-shore and off-shore structures.
Dr. Irina Francken-Medvedeva has been trained as a scientist in physics and mathematics for many years in Moscow where she has obtained her PhD. After a successful career she has retired from her research and university job in 1993 by starting a new phase in her study and business. She has been actively involved in the IN Fiduciary Services's business since 1994. In 2012 she obtained the Diploma in International Trust Management from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and was registered as an official Russian interpreter with the Supreme Court of Singapore.
From 1994 she was involved in the international trade providing management and administration in reviewing and preparing sales and purchase contracts. She provided compliance advice to trading companies on regulatory requirements, internal policies and formulation solutions to support ongoing business activities and expansion.
From 1998 Irina works as a director of IN Fiduciary Services Limited a company offering private international trustee services from its offices in New Zealand and Singapore to clients internationally. She specialises in services to Asian business ladies who want to structure their assets so as to best look after the next generation.
Irina is a full member of STEP, a registered professional trustee with the NZ Trustee Association (RT), a member of the International Tax Planning Association and an associate member of the Singapore Trustees Association. In the service year 2012/13 Irina is a Director of the Rotary Club of Singapore in charge of the International Service committee. She is directly involved in a number of charities throughout Asia. She also is a member of the Fundraising Institute New Zealand (FINZ) specialising in assisting her clients in making the right and most effective charitable donations.
Katya French has been involved with IN Fiduciary Services since 1994 in various roles. Her education is in Organisational Development, holding a degree and a post graduate Diploma in this field. Katya has worked in the Personal Tax Department of Ernst & Young and in the Corporate Department of White & Case LLP, both in Moscow.
While at Corstorphine House, Katya created her own travel company specialising in travel for HNWI families and individuals. Since 2015, Katya again works for IN Fiduciary Services exclusively. She is involved in Business Development internationally and administration of Singapore and Labuan companies. She is fluent in English and Russian as her native language.
Matthew D. French is the manager of our New Zealand Office. After many years in the international hospitality industry Matthew joined IN Fiduciary Services in 2009. He is in charge of our Dunedin office. In that capacity he specialises in the organisation and management of companies and trusts. Besides direct client contact, he maintains contacts with lawyers, accountants, banks, government departments including the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Hans van Batenburg MBA CPA has been active in many multinational and multicultural organizations. Hans joined the IN Fiduciary Services Group as business development director in Europe.
From 1984-1990 he was a director of TIP Trailer Europe Ltd and initially responsible for all corporate, investment and tax planning issues related to an MBO in 1985 and subsequent successful listing on the London and Amsterdam stock exchanges in 1987.
In 1990 he left TIP Europe and started his own business as a consultant and interim manager with C&B International in the Netherlands, he became managing partner and left this company at the end of 2009 to enjoy a sailing sabbatical in 2010. All this gave him 20 years of global experience in Asset Rental and Leasing, Corporate Finance, Trading, Production, Recycling, Logistics, Oil Storage and Trading, Publishing, Financial services, Treasury, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Pension fund management and Trust Services.
After his sabbatical he started in 2011 an executive mangement service company Klaver 4 Business Solutions and at the same time gained more knowledge and experience in (corporate) governance, mediation, coaching and comunication.
Hans is experienced with a wide range of complicated and growing organizations in challenging, national- and multinational environments and is capable to implement and organize issues within limited time frames.
